POLICIES
These Policies shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the English language, regardless of any translations made for any purpose whatsoever.
SHIPPING POLICY:
WE DO NOT SHIP TO PO BOXES!
IMPORTANT SHIPPING NOTES:
ONCE A PACKAGE IS SHIPPED OUT OF OUR FACILITY, WE NO LONGER HAVE ANY CONTROL OF THE TIME FRAME ON DELIVERY AND THEREFORE, ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INCIDENTS TO THE PRODUCT(S) RELATED TO THE SHIPPING TIME FRAME.

We are NOT RESPONSIBLE for the quality of Perishable Items in which the package is not delivered in hand.
Please make sure someone is available to receive the package when ordering Perishable Items. Especially, during the warmer months of the year.
Luso Mercado may edit the shipping carrier selected during checkout in order to minimize the time in transit and the risk of Perishable Items spoiling.

PERISHABLE ITEMS:
In order to preserve the quality of our *Perishable* products. We only ship *Perishable* products with 2 Day Shipping.
*Perishable* items will ship in an insulated lining with an ice pack to maintain freshness during the shipping process.
*Perishable* items may ship separately from your order. In that case, we will contact you (the customer) to let you know about it and provide you with additional information (such as tracking numbers, etc).
Orders that contain *Perishable* products will be shipped (Monday-Thursday) to prevent the package from sitting in a shipping hub.
Please keep in mind if you order any *Perishable* products with your order (Thursday-Sunday), that order will be shipped on Monday.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT PERISHABLE ITEMS:
With items such as Cured Meats, in old times people would hang presunto, chourico, linguica, and other cured meats. This process allowed the meat to breathe and dry up to the personal liking. If you choose to not refrigerate the meats, the meats can last months if hung in a well-ventilated room.
Some Perishable Items may acquire mold.
To clean Cured Meats, soak a paper towel with Olive Oil and clean it off.
To clean mold from Cheeses, simply use clean water.
NON-PERISHABLE ITEMS:
ALL Non-Perishable items are shipped via Ground Shipping (Monday-Saturday) unless otherwise requested.
If your order also contains *Perishable Products* it may ship separately from those items if your order is ordered outside of the shipping times.
Orders received after (time) will be shipped out the following business day, if applicable.
RETURN POLICY:
Please contact us before returning ANY product to us!
THERE ARE NO RETURNS! UNLESS ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:
Any claims for misprinted/damaged items must be submitted within 1 week after the product has been received.
For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 1 week after the estimated delivery date.
Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.
DAMAGED ITEMS:
The last thing we want is for you to be stuck with a damaged item. If an order arrives damaged, then please get in touch with a photo within a week's time!
WRONG ADDRESS:
If you the customer provide an address that is considered insufficient by the courier, the shipment will be returned to our facility. You will be liable for reshipment costs once we have confirmed an updated address with you.
UNCLAIMED:
Shipments that go unclaimed are returned to our facility and you will be liable for the cost of a reshipment to yourself.
YOUR ORDER DIDN'T ARRIVE?
If your order didn't end up arriving, be sure to let us know! First, check your shipping confirmation and check that you had entered the correct address. If the address was incorrect, we'd be happy to send you another order to the correct address, however, it will have to be at your cost. If the shipping address was correct, get in touch with us at [sales@lusomercado.shop] making sure you quote your order number. We'll see what can be done.
